Cancer Support Aberdeenshire

Cancer Support Groups

Support Groups provide:

  • Emotional support, friendship, companionship, understanding
  • An opportunity to share anxieties, knowledge and experience
  • Reassurance and a listening ear
  • Monthly meetings
  • Information and advice on other services
  • Cancer Support Groups provide support for:

  • People living with Cancer
  • Relatives
  • Carers
  • Friends
  • Sharing how you feel about Cancer with people who understand can be an enormous help.

Being told you have Cancer can leave you feeling shocked, upset and very isolated. There will be questions that need to be answered and feelings that you have to deal with.

Even if you are fortunate and have a very supportive family and a network of concerned friends, it can be difficult for them to understand what it is you are going through. Or you may wish to protect them from the facts and feelings that may frighten or upset them.

If you feel a Support Group may be helpful to you, or if you simply wish to discuss the possibility of joining one, please get in touch today.
